Checking your settings in Microsoft Outlook Express

Open Outlook Express and click on the Tools menu…

then select Accounts

Click on the Mail tab…

Highlight your IUL mail account (usually and then click the Properties button…

Verify that your Account Name is your full email address, including the part (ie. and verify that there is a checkmark beside "My server requires authentication". Then click on the Settings button...

Verify that "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" is selected, then click OK

Click on the Advanced tab and verify that Outgoing mail (SMTP) is set to port 587, then click on the OK button…

Finally, click on the Close button.
